Hetzner, is an ICANN accredited Domain Name Registrar that is well known for it's high quality and affordable hosting services, and is also known for having one of the largest data center operators in Germany. According to a recent statistic by StatsInfinity, Hetzner came at number 100 in our registrar list with 0.07%  of domain names registered since Jan 15th.

• Services:

Dyndns.com provides a variety of internet services such as Domain Name Registration , Web Hosting, Dedicated Servers, vServers, and Managed Servers. We are going to discuss each service provided by this registrar and discuss prices, features, and reliability compared to other registrars on the internet.

• Domain Name Registration:

Hetzner provides Domain Name Registration Services for what is considered a relatively high prices compared to other registrars on the internet. After we examined the prices list of Domain Names offered by Hetzner we found out that the company charges for registering a .com domain name for one year about $16.00 which is almost double what other registrars offer, but do not forget that Hetzner provides free Domain Names with their hosting plans.

• Web Hosting Services:

Hetzner offers Web Hosting services for affordable prices, even though you have to pay Once-off Setup Fee, their prices is considered one of the best prices on the internet considering the space and features included in every plan they offer. Web Hosting Services at Hetzner are divided into Four Packages, Level 1, Level 4, Level 9 and Level 19.
We are not going to review all Four plans, so we are only going to discuss the price and features for their basic (Level 1) plan, which is considred a very affordable, and useful plan for small and meduim sized businesses and also a very generous plan for personal/Individual use.
The Level 1 Plan comes with a 2 GB disk space, 10 GB/monthly Transfer, 100 Email accounts (POP3/IMAP including SSL encryption), and offers upto 50 Sub-Domains. The Level 1 Plan costs 1,99 €/ Month which is almost $3 USD, and you also have to pay Once-off Setup Fee for 9,90 € (ONLY ONE TIME) which is almost $14 USD.

• Dedicated Servers:

Hetzner manages more than 40,000 Dedicated Server in their own High-performance computing centers in Nuremberg and Falkenstein, Saxony.
Dedicated Server Services come in Four packages, EQ 4, EQ 6, EQ 8, and EQ 10, and they are divided according to the hardware included in each package.

Prices of Dedicated Servers compared with prices offered by other companies are considered affordable and reasonable. If you take a look at their first basic plan (EQ4), which comes with Intel® Core™ i7-920 Quadcore incl. Hyper-Threading-Technology, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and 2 x 750 GB SATA-II HDD (Software- RAID 1) , and also comes with a Free Phone Support, and Free Email Support, it costs 49 €/Month ($67 USD)  and Once-off Setup Fee 149 € (ONLY ONE TIME) ($ 204 USD)

• Virtual Private Servers:

Hetzner offers Three packages for Virtual Private Servers Services, vServer VQ 7, vServer VQ 12, and vServer VQ 19, and they are divided according to the RAM, and HDD included in each package. All three packages come with 0 € Setup Fee, and all packages are considered reasonable and affordable compared with same services provided by other companies.

If you take a look at their most expensive package, vServer VQ 19, it comes with 2048 MB RAM, and 80 GB HDD, and it only costs 19.90 €/ Month (almost $28 USD). And of course each package comes with many free and useful services. (Visit Hetzner for full features).

• Managed Servers:

Managed servers are the same exact thing as dedicated servers, which means they can be customized according to your needs, but the only difference is that the hard part (maintaining of the server) is done by professionals at Hetzner.

Managed Servers usually cost more than dedicated servers because of the extra services you get with each server you use, but compared to other hosting providers, Hetzner made sure to provide these services for the best prices possible, with the best features available.
Managed Servers are divided into Four packages at Hetzner, MS 3000, MS 5000, MS 7000, and MQ 19.

If you take a look at the Basic Package (MS 3000), which comes with AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Dual Core CPU, 2 GB DDR2 RAM, and 2 x 400 GB SATA II (Software RAID 1), and also comes with Free Phone Support, Free Email Support, and Data Center 24/7 Stand-by-Service (Visit Hetzner for full features), it costs 79 €/Month ($ 108 USD) and 99 € Once-off Setup Fee ($135 USD/ ONLY ONE TIME).

• Cutomers Evaluation:

Uptime: According to recent community posts, most of Hetzner 's clients are satisfied with the hosting services they are getting, no downtime issues have been reported. A client that had an account for more than a year posted "Not a single SECOND of network downtime in my datacenter". That's a 100% Uptime.

Features and Prices: Most clients are satisfied witht the features and prices related to Web Hosting Services provided by Hetzner. Some clients hoped that Hetzner would stop charging the 149 Euro setup fee when transitioning from one server to another. 

Technical/Customer Support: Hetzner clients have no complaints against the customer service of the company, they described the customer service as highly responsive, and tasks are done in a timely-manner without any complications. One client posted recently on a community post "All support requests I sent in were answered within 1 business day by someone who writes understandable English (not native, but not terrible either"

 Backup Space: Some clients complained about the provided by Hetzner which is 100 GB, and they were hoping that something could be done to increase the space for backups in case they want to reinstall the OS, or use hardware RAID instead of software RAID, or change the number of disks and the RAID configuration which would require backing up the data off-site, or order a new server (Extra cost and time consuming).
